Capture a rough note in the field on your phone, then have Claude Desktop fill in what you did not write down — the attendees, the prior email thread, the open items — and turn it into a real record. The recommendation for Thrive is OneNote.
The Claude phone app can only reach cloud connectors. Anything running locally on your laptop is invisible to it. That single fact rules out most of the clever answers and leaves one requirement: the notes app has to live in the cloud and be connected to your Thrive Claude account.
You already have it. It is part of the Microsoft 365 license every employee holds, it syncs to OneDrive automatically, the data never leaves the Thrive tenant, and it is already covered by our AI Use Policy. Nothing to buy, no new vendor, no security review.
The notes app is only half of it. Because Claude has your mail and calendar open at the same time as your notes, three lines typed with one thumb becomes a real record.

What comes back that you never typed:
It runs the other direction too. Hand it the calendar entry before a meeting and it preps the page — attendees, their background, the last thread with them — so you walk in with the note half written.
The Microsoft 365 connector reads OneDrive and SharePoint reliably. How deeply it reads inside a OneNote notebook is worth a fifteen-minute test before we tell the whole company to do it. If it comes up short, the fallback works without question: a Field Notes folder in OneDrive, one note per day. Same capture habit, same result, no ambiguity.

Claude's built-in memory carries context between conversations, but you cannot browse it, search it, or export it like a notebook. It is not a place to keep notes.
Thrive's AI Use Policy has a standalone section requiring leadership approval before using a meeting notetaker. That rule is about a tool that joins a meeting and records other people. Dictating your own note into OneNote is you writing a note. Different thing, different rule.
A note is a company record, producible like email. Keep Social Security numbers, payment card data, bank and ACH details, screening or credit reports, and applicant demographic information out of it, exactly as the policy says.
There is one real gap today, and it is the same gap in both directions: Claude can read your notes but cannot write back into the notebook. The enriched record comes back in chat, as a Word document in your folder, or as an Outlook draft, and pasting it into the notebook is on you.
Closing it means a connector that lets Claude file a note directly — so you say "log this against GVX Garage Phase 2" from the truck and it lands in the right section, and the cleaned-up version lands back on the same page an hour later. That is a build, not a setting, and it belongs on the committee's list.
